Full planning and planting service
Whether your garden is large or small, or you just want to replant a few flowerbeds, it is essential that I have a detailed understanding of your garden and your requirements. This will enable me to get a good feel for the space, what you want and the budget.
The design process starts with a visit to your garden to discuss what you are looking for and to assess what I can do for you. If you decide to go ahead then the following provides an idea of the process:
Steps to creating your perfect garden
Briefing meeting and Site Survey
At the briefing meeting, we will discuss your ideas for the garden and your likes and dislikes. A garden survey will be carried out, measuring up the spaces to be planted noting any planting which will remain and taking photographs. The aspect of the garden will be plotted, to ascertain sun/shade and any exposed areas. Soil specimens will be taken so that soil testing can be carried out. This will ensure that only plants suitable for your garden will be included and whether any soil improvement is recommended before planting.
I will follow up the visit with a summary of the briefing meeting. This stage also enables me to provide you with an overall estimate of costs.
Site plan & planting mood board
I will produce a scale drawing of the planting areas/garden, develop a design concept for your garden (if required) and put together a package of plants for your garden which I will send to you in the form of a moodboard for you to take a look at and comment on before I turn it into a full design.
Planting plan
Development of a scaled planting plan and a Nursery Order List.
Plant sourcing & planting
I work with several high-quality nurseries and if required, I can source plants for you and carry out the border preparation and planting.
